The Witconcrete Shipwreck – Belize’s Newest Dive Site
The Witconcrete is one of the largest ships in the Caribbean, measuring 375 ft long, 56 ft wide, and 38 ft high. Built after World War II for sugar and molasses storage throughout Central America, this now weathered, rust-streaked concrete ship has taken on a new life as Belize’s newest dive site.

Located 1 minute east of Blackbird Caye Resort, the dive site, called "the oasis" was intentionally chosen to eliminate coral reef impact. Drawing the attention of international divers and snorkelers , as well as creating a natural, protecting haven for our vibrant wildlife, the witconcrete is cemented in our underwater landscape.
